Coconut water has several uses that are beneficial to humans, mainly because of its nutritional and medicinal properties. In this study coconut samples were collected from the fresh mature coconuts packaged processed measure radon concentrations in them. The results used estimate annual effective radiation dose general adult population ingestion water. analyzed for using Durridge RAD-7 detector. measured ranged 381.10 Bq·m-3 1716.80 Bq·m-3. 68.08 556.85 mean values (1081.40 222.78) samples, respectively. estimated doses (AED) due 0.41 0.08 μSv·y-1 These significantly lower than safe limits recommended by World Health Organization European Commission 0.1 mSv·y-1 maximum contamination level (MCL) 11,000 United States Environmental Protection Agency so do not constitute a risk consumers
